    Do they have blogs? The 2nd especially isn’t being friendly with my computer. Plus, blogs let us see their most recent up to date work to “judge” 🙂

    I liked the second one better. However, I do have a beef with photgraphers, what’s with the whole ‘investment’ thing? Call it ‘prices’ and be done with it.

    Have either of them photgrahed at your venue?  If so, you can ask to see samples of work from those wedding to help you decide which photog can give you the ‘look’ you were hoping to get out of your venue.

    You need to be careful with the second place that you specially see samples from the actual photog who would be doign your wedding.  Since they have multiple studios and it isn’t just one person who owns and manages their own business, those sample pictures are probably the best shots from their best photogs, not necessarily samples from the person/people you would have shoot your wedding.

    The second one looks like a booking compnay that books lots of photographers in the area.  I would be hesitant to fall in love with their work because it could be from a variety of places.

    Always ask to see an entire wedding shoot before you choose.

    @bRooklynRocks: lol i feel the same way. Its like something being priced at $99.99. We both know it is $100– just SAY IT. 🙂

    @CorgiTales: I have to disagree.

    I think that your wedding photos are an investment.  I know they don’t appreciate like a home does (or is supposed to), but your wedding photos will appreciate in the sentimental nature over time and chooseing the right photog is so important to capturing the way you will remember your day for the rest of your life.  I don’t think the word ‘price’ has the same connotation that what you pay your photog should have.

    I guess it would depend on the style you’re going for.

    If it were me, I would choose the first one. I’m leary of dealing with companies that have several different photographers and you don’t know which one you’re going to get until the day of the wedding (The Pros, Bella Photography, Photography Shoppe, etc.,).

    It’s risky unless you get the opportunity to know who the actual photographer is and see his work. The work on the site is most likely a combination of several photographers.

    Photography Shoppe is nice but I agree about a group of photogs working for one company–it pays to be careful. Definitely ask if you can see each photog’s portfolio separately.

    About the term “investment”–wedding photos are definitely an investment as far as their value for the money goes. A photo is worth 1,000 words, and there is nothing like looking at beautiful wedding photos, whether the week after your wedding or many years from now. I think the quibble is with using the term as heading for the price section on some websites. It is gimmicky. Looking at photographer sites, it took me forever to figure out what “investment” even meant. Price is price–we all know wedding photos cost money, as well they should! Just seems like an unnecessary PR tactic.

    If you like both styles of photography, for me their customer service and price would ultimately be the deciding factor.

    I just saw you were from San Antonio. I haven’t worked with this photog but one of the bride’s I designed stationery for did:
