I think the halo ring is super gorgeous, but it’s definitely more likely to get stuck on things.

vancin86 :  I think in general those little tiny prongs with the pave stones are so “snaggy”. But I think if you also have prongs that are set incorrectly they will catch things, so it could have just been the quality of the ring.

I think not having a halo would help a bunch, but if you wanted to go on the safe side would you consider a simpler band? Maybe one with milgrain detail so it’s still sparkly in its own way? Or a channel set pave band so they’re recessed a little.

Both of those rings are incredibly gorgeous and if you get what you love I don’t think you’ll regret it. But if you know it’ll annoy you then I’d say see if you like anything more “practical”, but certainly don’t settle for something just because it’s safe.

Gorgeous choices. I think the non-halo would be less snaggy. Too bad you can’t just get both! 😉

I personal am not a fan of oval halos, but love the 2nd setting!

I’d vote for the second ring with thin, double claw prongs, and a 3 carat center stone.  I’d go for diamond side stones with this ring too.

    Very pretty choices! Congratulations!!
