Okay ladies, I went back to David’s Bridal yesterday and tried on about 5 more dresses, and narrowed it down to these two, and I just cannot decide between them! Help me pick!
P.S. Ignore my hair in some of these photos…I was having a really bad hair day.
Dress 1: The satin halter.
This was my favorite from the first time I went dress shopping, and is still a top contender. This was the first dress I had the “moment” in, and the first one I wanted to try on with a veil. I feel like myself in this dress more than the others, and I’m drawn to it because it’s different…you don’t see too many halters, and I really don’t like strapless because EVERYONE wears it and I’m tired of seeing it, it’s gotten so boring.
(Some of these pictures are from the first dress shopping trip when my hair didn’t suck as much 🙂 )
Dress 2: The strapless a-line.
Okay, I hate strapless dresses. I hate them because I feel naked in them, and because EVERYONE wears them and I want something different. But the skirt on this one…ohh man. I felt so bride-y and beautiful in it, in it but I just can’t get on board with the strapless thing, and I really hate the way dresses look with sleeves/straps added onto them, and I don’t want to wear a bolero all day either. But I can’t get over how beautiful I felt in this fabric, and the way this dress moved, it was absolutely perfect.
AAAAHH I can’t decide!! I love them both equally…
Which one do you like best??

You look beautiful in both dresses. I think that dress number 2 looks more bridal than number one. It looks amazing with the veil. But it seems like you are more comfortable in the halter style. Go with what makes you happy. You can’t make a wrong choice 🙂

Sometimes we swear we don’t want something on our dress, and that is just what we get! Do you like the way the pics of you look in the strapless? If so, don’t let your initial dislike of strapless scare you off. If you feel beautiful in the dress, and feel like a bride, that is all that matters! 🙂

There’s something about the halter that looks too severe for me. I love the 2nd dress, it’s lovely.
But you should wear what makes you feel most beautiful!

I just love the halter dress on you!You look so glamorous (in a Jean Harlow way) and it’s so different than all the strapless dresses out there!!!Of course I voted for dress one!

PS- as for the dress I like, I actually prefer the strapless A-line because I think you look amazing in that shape!
Since you look very thin, I think the fuller skirt gives a great visual balance to your figure. The halter is beautiful as well, but to me it makes my eye go to thinking how skinny your arms are! (not that that’s a bad thing, just not sure if you want it to be the focus of your dress!)

I like the halter better…it makes your figure look amazing! Plus, it seems like that would be the choice you’re the most comfortable with-you like the bottom of the strapless dress but not the top. You had nothing but good things to say about the halter!

I really like the overall look of the halter. It has a really nice flow, and compliments your body very well. Though, ultimately they’re both beautiful dresses, and I think you’ll look beautiful with either choice. 🙂

@FutureMrsSitler: Hahaha, how creepy-skinny my arms are is always the focus of everything, it’s inevitable 😛 I have weird stick arms, my mom had them too. My mom was 6′ tall, big boned, a size 14-16, and her arms were literally the size of mine from top to bottom. It’s insane.

What if you addes sleeves like this to dress #2
I really love dress 2 on you! But go with what you love!

I think the halter looks best

I’m not usually a fan of strapless either, BUT dress 2 looks awesome on you! Like one of the PP said, it balances out your tiny frame. I almost feel like the halter dress is wearing you, whereas you are wearing the strapless dress. It just highlights your face, and looks really great on you. 🙂 ETA: I looked at the pics again, and I think maybe the halter is making your upper body look longer and your legs shorter, and the strapless is making your torso look tiny and your legs super long.

I love both looks on you, and think that you should go with your heart. For what it’s worth, I’m not usually a strapless wearer either – strapless dresses almost never work on me, and I’m always tugging at them. But keep in mind that you will get your dress fitted to your body, and ideally, you will be very comfortable!

I voted for dress #1 because it fits what I can see of your personality and style in the pics but #2 is more flattering to your figure but not really “you” (in my total internet stranger opinion:)
You have the body of a model and I think you are right to be drawn to the halter-it looks fantastic on you. But I also think you should keep looking, keeping that style in mind. Or maybe find a way to “marry” the two since you love them both so much. Something halter-ish or with sleeves on top and a bit of fullness to round you out? Just a thought.
In the end though, you look great in both. There is no “bad” choice here.

Both dresses are nice and flatter your figure, but I think that dress one is the very best on you and flatters you the most.
