I love all the inspiration on this thread. I am blowing my hair out (not too straight), then having it twisted and pinned into an updo. I already had a trial and will attempt again next week with veil and jewelry. I had a lot of dilemmas over how to wear my har since i have worn my hair natural for over 10 yrs, I couldnt imagine having straight hair for my wedding. But in the same sense, felt I should do something different than my everyday. I also wanted to show my length a bit more.
I am thinking after the ceremony taking it part way down for the reception. Also it will be different from the photo that we will dip the ends in water for more of my natural curl and not all these straight or frizzy ends. Excuse my lack of make-up and grays 🙂

This may be on this thread already, but there’s a lot of bridal hair inspiration on this site. Look under the style icons tab:

Thanks!! If I did them they would never come out so neat either. I did end up wearing my hair like that for the wedding a week ago Sep 20th. A friend of mine who does hair twisted it the day of the wedding and used pomade for the edges. The difference was we had a few more twists down in the front and I did decide to use a curling iron on the twists in the front.

- Wedding: December 2014 - The Villa
I love this thread… I am so indecisive about my hair. Luckily I have 12 months to grow it out and see what happens… #allprotectivestyleseverything for the next year. LOL! I’m pretty sure I want to wear it big and curly though I’m trying to decide if that’s best in a weave or with my natural hair.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to go with half up half down style, maybe blow dry and flat iron (haven’t blown my hair out in a year) and do a twist out with it and pin half of it up similar to thisstyle

Oh wow this is exactly what I want, thanks for posting this pic. I haven’t been able to find a pic that displayed what I’ve been looking for. I think I am going to use Kurly Klips for the day. Hopefully I can recreate this with the kurly klips.
Kurly Klips are awesome, especially if you are looking into getting a natural hair weave. Check them out at: http://www.kurlyklips.com as well as youtube.
