This may be Too Much Information but this is the bee and I love all of your advice so here goes. lol. For the past year or so my sex drive has decreased significantly. I need help before it really impacts my marriage! I am super attracted to my husband and I don’t want him to think its his fault. I’m just not in the mood like I use to be and when I am in the mood I’m super dry down there.
What are some natural ways to increase your sex drive? I have heard that Maca supplements can help. But what else? I need all the help I can get!

Are you on hormonal birth control? If so, stop taking it and find another method of contraception. hormonal birth control killed my libido. The only time I felt any drive at all while on the pill was during the weeek of my “period” (when I wasn’t taking the pills). I went off the pill a few months ago and have had a significantly higher sex drive (although it still waxes and wanes over the course of my cycle) ever since.

I have a sensitivity to caffeine, so a few years ago I was looking for energy boosters that don’t contain caffeine. I came across L-Tyrosine. I started taking it, and noticed a difference in energy almost immediately. Within a few days, though, I also noticed that I was starting to feel attracted to co-workers I had NEVER found attractive before (and who were not conventioanlly attractive.) I would sit at work and have sexual daydreams about them – it was almost like intrusive thoughts in that I wasn’t willing it to happen.
A few weeks went by, and I was assuming I was just being hormonal. One day, while bored, I randomly looked at the side effects section of the label and saw that “increased sex drive” was a very common side effect. I googled and found out that people take this stuff specifically FOR their sex drives.
Needless to say, I stopped taking it because I didn’t want the distraction of feeling overwhelmingly attracted to all my male co-workers. haha!
You might give it a try and see if it helps things at home. I already had an above average sex drive, which is why I think it was spilling over into my everyday platonic relationships. But if you have a below average sex drive, you might be able to find the right dose to bring you back up to “average.”
Another thing that could help your sex drive is to take a mild testosterone booster. Women naturally have low levels of testosterone. But “too low” levels of testosterone has been linked to low sex drive. The preworkout I take 2-4 x’s a week has a mild testosterone booster, and I love it!
Also, obviously, being more active and working out more naturally increases your “feel good” chemicals and boosts self confidence, all of which can contribute to increasing sex drive.

If you don’t have sex for awhile your naturally going to lose your sex drive. May be Too Much Information but masturbate; get yourself going when hubby isn’t home. This definitely helps keep my sex drive up! Experiment in the bedroom; try some toys, something different.
I know some people who swear by diffusing certain essential oils. Rose and Ylang Ylang come to mind

Thanks for all of the wonderful advice!
Yes I think this can have something to do with it. I am now starting to get back into a regular workout routine again. I am about 10-15 pounds heavier than my normal weight.
I have been on hormonal birth control for 8 years straight. I have PCOS so it also regulates my period. I haven’t had any issues with my drive before but maybe taking a break wont hurt. But I know ths will worry my DH because we do not want children any time soon! lol
lol thats hilarious. I will def check this out. Hopefully i can pick it up from my local GNC.
LMAO. I have tried this but its so hard when I’m just not in the mood. But I will continue to try. I travel for work up to 2 weeks at a time. So I probebly should do this more often.

What is your diet like? I’m not sure if you can naturally “enhance” libido, but your diet/lifestyle could definitely be hurting it, so you may just have to get back on track. Healthy eating and exercise isn’t just for a healthy heart and keeping in shape – it helps keep a healthy libido in tact too.

The more you do it, the more you want it. Use lube and lots of it (I like the Astroglide Gel). Maybe find some toys you both like.
But basically, be like Nike and “Just do it”.

Maca root. Natural libido enhancer. Could be placebo but it won’t hurt and it’s suppose to help with sleep and energy levels aswell. My partner used ginseng to his erectile problems and he thought it worked well but he is really into herbal remedies so could be that he just believed in it so that.
Lube and a vibrator.
Have your partner do different things to you so that you will be stimulated differently. Don’t be scared to use the vibrator together. Send naughty texts. Tease each other all day. Do something new.
Diet and exercise.
If you have been on the same birth control then change brands. I got my side effects after years of using the same brand.

My husband just mentioned to me that he heard black seed oil is supposed to be good for increasing lubrication for women. He’s been taking it for some health benefits and was saying I might want to check it out to see if I’d like to take it as well.
