I am not a medical doctor or a health specialist of any kind, but I have read that maca root is good for fertility. I would recommend researching it for yourself.

I’d recommend reading Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition by Marilyn Shannon.  I learned a lot about optimizing nutrition and supplements for ttc, which for me included some changes from my standard ‘healthy diet’.  B-complex, calcium/magnesium/vitD, and omega oils were all supplements I’ve added since ttc.

I’d also recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler – a common recommendation on this board 🙂  If you suspect problems, tracking your cycle can be really helpful in identifying a problem and getting help sooner.

Sorry, I don’t have any quick fix home remedies as I’m still trying, but good luck!

Oh, and my hubby takes maca.  He says it amps him up, so he takes a low dose.  Definitely isn’t hurting.  I tried taking it, but it seemed to contribute to abnormally long cycles for me, so I stopped.  It’s a natural root so as long as doses are reasonable, it could be worth a try!

I just finished reading “Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility” by Sami David and Jill Blakeway.  Great book, had fantastic reviews, definitely worth a read!  It gives you a lot of options for complementing Eastern and Western medicine.  Hoping it does work too, I found it after hearing from my Dr that they won’t see me until we’ve been trying for a year minimum.
