Are you out there? What are you doing with your locks? I’m stumped on how to handle mine.
My dark curly hair is semi fine, not very wiry, but a mixture of ringlets and wider loose curls. For many years it was below my shoulders, but in the recent past I started cutting it shorter and shorter. In December I had it cut shorter than I’ve ever had it, and I immediately regretted it. So now I’m in that in between phase of growth, it’s not quite at the top of the shoulders, and it’s starting to look ratty at the end. I’m not sure if I can spend the whole summer with it looking dry and frizzy, but I desparately want it longer.
I’m not wearing a veil of any kind, but want something in my hair. I have a few really cool old rhinestone brooches and scarf clips from my grandmother which could be used, and have looked at the popular feather/flower fascinators. I could use some inspiration from other curly tops and how you’ve done or are doing your hair for your wedding.

Are you wearing your hair up or down? If you’re going with an updo, you can go surprisingly short and still have it work (mine wasn’t nearly at my shoulders first time around and it was up with all sorts of fun curls!) so in the meantime you could trim *just* the ends to make it look healthier. I have thick curly hair, and if it gets too long by even a little my whole head looks crazy!
Another thought, have you asked your stylist about a Kertain Treatment? It will straighten your hair and decrease the frizz, but lasts 3-6 months so it’s possible your hair would be straight for your wedding in September. If you like straight hair, they’re awesome! If you like curly hair, don’t do it LOL.
I’m not doing a veil either, I’m thinking of a clip somewhere. Here’s a link to my wedding Pinterest board, I have some hair pics there that you might like!

I’ve learned about the keratin treatments, and the chi-ionic treatments, but I like my curls, so a long term change wouldn’t suit me. My hair actually straightens super easily, so it’s fun to do once in a while for day. The beau would be devastated if I wore it straight for the wedding – he loves the curls.
Anyway, point being, I’m definitely going curly on the day. My hairdresser said the same thing as you about still being able to do the side sweep updo if it’s on the shorter side with the aid of hairspray and a billion bobby pins, so I’m definitely keeping that in mind too.
Also, I love the gartered hipflask on your Pinterest!
