It started for me around 5 weeks, lightened for like 2 days in week 7, and then was hell on earth until week 17ish. I took medication because I couldn’t function. Now I’m 31 weeks and I still get hit with it occasionally (which is fun now that I’m big – threw up so hard on Saturday morning that I was concurrently peeing myself – being pregnant is THE BEST). The good thing is I’ve learned my husband meant it when he said “in sickness” 🙂

Started at 6 weeks and finally let up around 22 weeks. I only experience nausea now if I let myself get too hungry.

tattiibee : I dunno! My hcg levels were at the high end or over the high end of normal, and I haven’t had terrible nausea at all. It’s really fascinating how much they still don’t know about pregnancy and how it all works.

sandiegobee : That made me laugh!
Being pregnant is SOOOOO glamorous!

Pregnancy #1 – Did not have nasusea at all. Not one day!
Pregnancy #2 – Everyday on and off for the first 5 months.

I had nausea from week 5 until the end of month 5. I had all day nausea that really only abated at night. Lucky me. I just carried around crackers, ginger candies and ginger beer pretty much everywhere.

I only threw up once. It was when I was 7 weeks or so and on a boat day trip. It could have been just motion sickness, but pregnancy also increases your risk of motion sickness.
Other than that, I actually didn’t have that much nausea in the first trimester. I never had to take nausea meds. I did start eating more regularly to keep things at bay, but that’s about it. No food aversions either. I have been incredibly lucky (knock on wood).

I’m in the same boat as MsPlucky – I had to eat every 2 hours or so otherwise I felt queasy it got better 2nd trimester (currently week 24) but I hadn’t had nausea. I did throw up a few times but due to the gag reflex (a few times after brushing my teeth and a few times from putting my helmet on… ).
My yoga instructor had a bad case of nausea and it got better after week 15 she suddenly felt she could start eating… another friend from yoga had it so bad she couldn’t function at work – it got better around week 18-20 I believe although she still sometimes feels it, just not as bad..

wineandthings : amanda1988 : don’t stress because of the stories! Everyone is different.
I have a friend who is pregnant now and she has no symptoms whatsoever. She’s so stressed about it that she went to get ultrasounds a few times now and the doctor told her to stop stressing and getting ultrasounds lol.

My first it was about 7.5-8 weeks it hit, until 16weeks. Second it was 6weeks to 12 weeks and then came back in the AM around 30 weeks. I usually only threw up in the morning, if I did. I always had to eat right away with both. I would have aversions all day though so thinking of food made me feel like puking, though I usually didn’t.

tattiibee : Nausea began for me started around 6 weeks and ended when I gave birth lol.

Mine hit around 5.5 weeks and went away at 9 weeks.. Although, I vomited for the first time at 10 weeks, even though I was feeling better. Baby was telling me to eat breakfast earlier.

I felt great from week 3.5 (got VERY early bfps) to week 7. I started throwing up at 7 weeks, and I’m almost 19 weeks, on diclectin, and still getting sick about 4 times a week.
I don’t usually feel too nauseous, I just throw up out of nowhere. It’s super annoying but it mostly happens in the morning, so at least my stomach is empty then.
I hoped that if I made it to 7 weeks I’d be home free, but it got exponentially more horrible until I was medicated… And even then I have days where I throw up 7+ times a day.
And I was somebody who would easily go YEARS without feeling nauseous, let alone get sick. I feel betrayed by my body hahaha.

The responses are so terrifying in this post haha!
lucialucentum : Holy crap! Throwing up out of nowhere? Like not even enough time to run to the bathroom?!

totallyabee : Yeah! What’s up with the gag reflex teeth brushing nonsense? It’s the only time I’ve actually gagged while pregnant. Totally caught me by surprise.
I’m 27 weeks now and don’t notice it anymore, but damn in the beginning I didn’t even want to brush my teeth because gagging is painful. I always did because eww gross to not, but ugh. Definitely was not expecting that one.
