So I recently became obsessed with the nautical theme ! So much so that I want to make it the theme of my wedding ! Only problem is my wedding is in October, 12th of this year to be exact ! We will be getting married in Miamisburg, Ohio, nothing near water … It’s a gorgeous venue with wooden area behind it & something that looks like a mountain beside it ! I want to do something other than the typical boring fall theme & fall colors but I’m afraid everyone will think I’m nuts because it’s fall & we’re in Ohio ! Please help me decide because my family will not want to hurt my feelings so they always agree with me ! Lol

@Kaseefields28: It really depends, I think, on what parts of a nautical theme you like. You could certainly do sailors knots and things. Maybe something like this for favors (or the knot detail pretty much anywhere) but use a fall colored twine:
My friend was thinking of doing a cruise wedding in the fall, so I made this pinterest board. Some of the ideas & colors may work for you.

I’m from the Outer Banks where everything is nautical-themed, so I have a few ideas.
Since you’re in Ohio and nowhere near water, I wouldn’t go with an all-out nautical/beachy theme. Instead, think navy, stripes, and twine. I also think Those are perfect for fall and won’t throw anyone off.
My sister pinned some beachy things for her BFF’s wedding, and I think you might like the ideas!
These are all definitely pretty summery, but sufficiently beachy/nautical/what have you. They can totally be changed for fall. I really like the last one, but personally I think cloth napkins and more sturdy utensils would be better.
