I’m doing the same thing with my bridesmaids but the guys will be in black tuxes with navy ties. I don’t think your wedding party will look ridiculous, I actually like navy suits.

why dont you try getting them all together wearing clothes similar to what they are going to wear on the day then get photographs, that way you can see if its the look you want?

It will look amazing.  Navy is pretty much navy.

How do you think it will look ridiculous?

@eah1982:  If the suits are a shade or two darker does it really matter?

I actually think (extreme) mismatched looks a lot more natural and kind to those in the wedding, then cookie cutter outfits that are just to fufill a look.

Navy is pretty standard.  At most you are looking at a shade or two.  No one will be able to tell.  No one will put the bridesmaid dress fabric, against the suit fabric and ensure they are exactly the same.  No one will even notice.

I’ve never heard of anyone going to a wedding, and coming back complaining about the GM’s suits being 2 shades lighter then the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.  And on this board, we’ve heard pretty much everything.
