Im looking for what accent color or what kind of flowers would go good with a navy blue and gray fall wedding. Im hesitant to use any orange flowers with the navy blue bridesmaids because im afraid it will look to much like the Florida Gator colors (orange and blue) which is where our wedding will be in gainesville. So im looking for other fall flowers that will go good with our colors. I really like sunflowers, anyone know what goes good with sunflowers? =) And even better if anyone has pictures from their own weddings with colors like these that they would like to share that would be awesome.

@Kimberly_0224: Navy blue and grey are both neutrals so you can use any flowers you want.
Bouquets with sunflowers
Sunflowers, orange hydrangeas yellow roses and berries.
Bridal Bouquet of local calla lilies, sunflowers, button mums, dahlia, goldenrod, clematis seed heads, Diablo Ninebark foliage, Itea foliage and wild grapevine.

@Kimberly_0224: So I’ve got a few pictures to share with you from a Facebook friend that recently got married. She did navy, orange, and yellow. I mostly wanted you to get an idea of how the orange and the navy would look. As someone who lives in FL (and doesn’t like the gators) as long as you go with a true navy it shouldn’t resemble the Gators colors. I have included a picture of some Gators football players to show you the difference.
Having said all of that, I’m in love with the color scheme that weddingbound posted!

I love your choice of Navy Blue ! It was my color too ! Actually our colors were navy blue and chocolate brown, and we were married in November. Our flowers were cream, white, pale orange and green, with red hypercium. The mother’s corsages were a pale orange, and white. The Maid/Matron of Honor boquets were white, cream and green. Groomsmen boutineers were white and green. My husbands boutineer was green with red hypercium, and my boquet was white, cream, green with red hypercium. I understand not wanting to use orange for fear of looking like The Gators exploded on your wedding – maybe use a shade of orange that is closer to brownish-orange to bring in a fall color, and it will look well with sunflowers. Sunflowers will look great against navy blue, and honestly – I think you can’t go wrong with just about any color flower. There are some light blue-ish flowers that actually look grey! Have fun making your choice!
