Hey Bees! I need help figuring out my color scheme. Originally I was thinking black, navy, and silver but whew, those are some dark colors (and feel very masculine)! So I sat back and tried to start “maping” out colors that would work for us, and to cut up some of the masculinity of the colors, and I came across plum/purple as an accent color option with splashes of diamonds/silver/platinum. I am usually a big hater of purple, but for this I feel it works well.
My biggest hurtle is my tables. To save money I will be borrowing a friends black tableclothes and navy blue flocked-organza overlays (the overlay gives the black a navy blue shimmer) and the cocktail tables will be drapped in black, but I was thinking I could get either plum or silver fabric to tie around the leg. I would really like to work around this set up because it will save me greatly! This is where I get stuck – if the table is going to be a dark navy blue, what color should my chair covers be? My napkins?
We have the option to do either blue uplighting or purple uplighting – which would you chose?
Here are some insperation photos:
Purple/Navy/Black/Silver all together: Do these colors work?
I like the shades of purple with the blue dress and stem wrap of this picture:
I’d really like to use diamond candle holders like this, and perhaps rhinestones/plastic diamonds on the table with flower petals.
I really like these centerpieces (minus the lamp shades) and the purple uplighting and blue spotlighting. Not sure how purple would look with a blue tablecloth though. Suggestions?
So that’s pretty much what I am thinking. Tell me what you think or how I could improve upon/achieve this look! Thanks!
