I am getting married July 3rd, very short engagement, I have chosen a crisp white dress and the bridesmaids are wear a navy blue straples dress. The wedding is beign held in a beach community. I am trying to steer away from making it look to wintery but I really want it to look elegant and colorful at the same time. I just CANNOT figure out what accents to do with it or what colors I should put in the bouqets at all! I am having nightmares about colors! Please help or post pics I have been through every site possible and still cannot figure this out. I was debating between (navy, white, with the green apple and light pinks) but Im afraid it will be too light in contrast to the dark blue and that I need a color to punch it up.

My only advice to you (as a Fourth of July Bride) is if you want to avoid the Independence Day theme, AVOID RED ACCENTS. Then it would be a red, white, and blue wedding. I think that either pink or lime would go great with a navy dress, you just need to make sure they are both richer colors and not pastels. For the bouquet, you could consider having your BMs carry white bouquets with accent flowers and you carrying a colored bouquet.

here are some options… any bright color or simply all white flowers will give your wedding a NAUTICAL or Spring theme 🙂 Good Luck

I have very similar colors. I agree with MightySaphire, it’s been tricky to stay away from red/colors in the red family because you add one element and it looks like the American flag. I’m going with creamy/peachy/yellowy colors for the bridesmaid bouquets and gold is my main accent color.

@bblove– omg, thank you so much for those pics. I, too, am having navy Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and debating floral colors, and it really helps to see pics of different ones. Thanks for doing the legwork for me, haha.
