I’m having a little difficutly deciding and figured maybe you all can help me out.
We are having the wedding in May. Our colors are Navy, Peach and Gold. I had originally wanted coral dresses but finding the right coral color made me change the color to peach. Now its hard finding a long peach bridesmaid dress below the price of $250.
What i need help with is would you have navy bridesmaids dresses or peach?
Would long navy dresses look too dark for a spring wedding? (the bridesmaids want to wear long dresses) * with grey groomsmen *
Would peach dresses look good on all skin tones? (my girls vary from beigey fair skinned to bronzed caramel. ) * peach bridesmaids with navy groomsmen. *
ps. anyone know where i can find similar peach looking dresses for a reasonable price?

Like you said I think navy is too dark for May especially in a long dress, the peach is beautiful and I love the idea of navy groomsmen!

I like the coral better. However, I think navy would look great if you brightened it up with their bouquets and whatever else you possibly can. My friend got married in May and had black and pink. Her bridesmaids wore long black dresses. It looked gorgeous!

I think navy is perfect for late spring. After all, that is when all the navy comes out in the stores for summer. It will also be a lot easier to have peach flowers than to try to bring in navy with peach dresses.

@gelaine22: If we end up going the navy dress route then i would have their bouquets be mainly peach and bright colored flowers. kind of like the 2nd navy dress picture.

@julies1949: good point, i didnt even think about that 🙂

What about navy dresses carrying peach flowers? Navy dresses should be easier to find, and therefore a lot cheaper!

I really love those peach dresses, but if I were your bridesmaid I would prefer to wear navy, just because peach is horrendous with my skin and makes me look very washed out. I’m very fair in complexion, and a lot of light colours don’t make me look good. Navy though is very flattering!
I really like PP’s suggestion of navy dresses with peach or coral flowers.

@almoste: I really like the navy! Just make sure you keep the flowers springy an fit will be fine, I think it looks more flattering on anyone than peach. I do like the peach though too but could see how it would be hard to find.

If your men are doing Navy suits.. then Navy ok.
If they are black I wouldn’t do Navy…
I love the peach but I think so much peach next to white is a little light for my taste, I would maybe do Peach AND Navy? Navy accents?
my Maid/Matron of Honor had a peacock dress and having that much of a dark color worked fine, but my dresses didn’t all match so that could be why.
Thats all my opinon!

I really like the navy dresses, plus cheaper and easier to find! I am biased though, since peach can clash pretty badly with my pale but pink redhead skin.

We’re having navy bridesmaids & dark grey groomsmen in late summer! Long dresses too 🙂 no surprise, I vote for that option 🙂

Those peach ones are gorgeous! Thank you for bringing them to my attention – total inspiration for my future wedding. I am biased of course as I generally prefer pastel colours for a spring/summer wedding.
I think ultimately, go for the colour that suits most of your bridesmaids and compliments the groomsmen best. I think it would be helpful to get the groomsmen’s suits and potential dresses together to see the look irl.

Bump – if anyone has gotten peach bm dresses before and has a good recommendation – some on Etsy looks great but I am not 100% trusting
