I am considering having a navy and green themed wedding. I was thinking about putting navy tablecloths on the table and all white flowers as the centerpieces. I wonder if any of you have done this and whether you liked it. I am just a little concerned that it may make the reception site feel very dark (it is a light colored room with lots of window; the reception will be at night though so it will be dark outside). Any pictures or thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help

I think it sounds pretty. Very preppy! Maybe you could add some votives to your centerpieces? That would lighten it up…pun intended!

I absolutely LOVE navy and green for wedding colors! What shade of green are you thinking about having? If you go with a lighter green or a bright green, I don’t think you have to worry about the room looking too dark because the brightness of the green would balance out the dark color of the navy. Like KateMW said, votives are a great idea too! I’m sure it will all look beautiful! 🙂

We are doing something similar, we are using white tablecloths with navy runners to help keep the room bright and then using small white bud vases with yellow flowers (but green was a close second!).

Those are my colors too! I’m having navy tablecloths with a navy blue damask runner and white flowers. I will post pictures in June to show you how it turns out.

If you want a highlight color… navy blue and like barbie pink go great.

Thanks for all of your responses! Liljuliet87 I would love to see your pictures after your wedding, it sounds so pretty! I am actually debating whether to keep the flowers all white or whether to put a few green ones in just for accents. My plan was to have navy tablecloths, white flowers, a few white candles and gold (maybe silver) chargers.
Does anyone have any thoughts on that or even pictures of something similar? I am afraid the picture in my head may not be as good as the actual result haha.

I almost did Navy and Emerald but decided to stick to Navy with a lighter blue accent. Snippet and Ink did a really nice inspiration board with Navy and Emerald but I can’t seem to find it right now, maybe you’ll have better luck finding it on her site. I think a Kelly green would also work really well.

I saw pictures of a wedding that did something really similar in my venue. They had all black tablecloths and chair covers. They also used all white flowers, and the china was white. With a little candle light it really sparkled and looked great!
