Know the dress I want and Catan’s has the sample in my size and I really like the experience I’ve had there versus other bridal shops. BUT the dress at Catan’s is about $200 more than another shop in the area. I really want to order from Catan’s bc the sample is in my size and my family can then see the dress before I order. But I really don’t want to put the saleswoman through a whole appointment if I know I’m not going to buy there. The shop with the dress cheaper has a sample but it is way too small for me to try on so my family really wouldn’t know how it would look on. And I really didn’t like the sales people there. Plus I want to try the dress on one more time just to be sure before I plunk down $1500. Advice/prior experience with this?

I know that at the shop where I got my dress, the negotiated on all dress. I’d just go and ask them if they can give you a better price.

The ladies at Catans are amazing! I’ve purchased many evening gowns there over the years, and went with one of my best friends when she purchased her bridal gown there. They will be more than willing to work with you price-wise. Just be up-front with them. Good luck!

I went dress shopping at Catans. I didn’t have the greatest experience there but I do know that they were having a 10 % off sale on all dresses that they did not advertise. I would go in and try the dress on. They weren’t pushy at all and mostly left me alone in the room with my family/friends to look/discuss the dress. Plus they might have a sale going on that you don’t know about!
