My wedding is in August and I need your help finalizing my look! I have the dress and shoes, and today I got some amazing earrings, but I’m having trouble deciding on a necklace. My style is femme vintage campy glamour and I’m not afraid to go bold! However I don’t want my jewelry to be too overdone or heavy looking. I love bright colors and want to include some rainbow through my accessories, but tastefully. For reference, here’s me in my dress:
This is the tattoo on my left arm:
These are the earrings I got today!! They are made in Austria, from the 1940s. I will be converting them from clip ons to pierced earrings. (It’s hard to see the colors in this pic because of the light, but the gems are pink, purple, blue, green, red, and clear).
I found these necklaces on etsy and I can’t decide which one would be best. Please vote in the poll and/or explain in comments. Thanks for your input!!!
And last but not least, Necklace F:
If if it matters, my shoes are a dark raspberry. I’m planning to do dark raspberry nails and lipstick I think. Feel free to suggest other options too!

I picked E because your earrings are already quite bold and have a few colors mixed in there. I don’t think your necklace should match exactly or add more colors. I like E because it’s relatively simple but very glamorous and the single stone picks up the purple from your earrings.
Oh and beautiful dress!!

Spot on. I agree “E” is the best choice.

Thanks for the responses so far!! This is really helpful. For reference, here’s a pic of the earring on my actual ear. The three piercings at the top of my ear with have small pearls. (Can you tell I’m obsessed with pearls? Lol)

Now that I have seen the earrings on you, I’m voting again on E!! Your main stone in the earring is purple and E picks up the primary color plus you love pearls and that one has the most pearls!

Curses! I just checked and realized necklace E is too tight/small for my neck! Alas!
But all is not lost because I found this one that is somewhat similar. It would look less long on me because my neck is human sized, not manequin sized…
But I’m still torn, although I think it might be between E and F. I’m really obsessed with necklace C, but I don’t know how well it would work and no one voted for it… The etsy seller of C is going to send me a picture of it on a person’s neck, so that should help me see the proportions better.
Thanks for all the votes! Keep them coming!

I agree, E is the best choice. You don’t want to overdo it.

well darn! The alternative you found would be lovely as well! Hey if you like C, then get C! I like the multiple strands of pearls..I think that part is great but maybe you could ask the seller if she has alternative jewels for that one. In my head, I just think the existing gems on it paired with your earrings is too busy. In the end, you have to be happy with what you pick..it doesn’t really matter what any of us think or even your guests.

I’m pro A or C, I think they match your earrings more!

F. Beautiful shape with the neck of your wedding gown and go with the earrings without looking like a try-hard match.

I voted for B. It’s so kitschy! I really like it 🙂 I did not vote for options D or E because they’re silver, and those fabulously quirky earrings are very not silver. I’m all for breaking the rules of fashion, but with so much already going on between gem colors and pearls, I’d say it’s best to keep your metals matching.
I almost voted for F, but I think I like E’s replacement (G?) even better than F, and tied with B. They’re both really cute.
