First I will say that I don’t wear jewelry. I never have. My e-ring is the only piece of jewelry I have ever owned! Fiance actually asked me before he proposed “if I bought you a ring, would you actually wear it?” My ears are not pierced. So my question is… do I really need to wear a necklace? My dress is below, and she isn’t wearing a necklace with it! I will not be wearing a veil, but will have flowers in my hair. The theme of our wedding is rustic and natural, so if I did wear a necklace I would want it to be minimal. Help? Do I need a necklace? If so, what style? ALSO I don’t really want to spend a lot of money on jewelry I will only wear one day (dress itself was only $156) so I was thinking of borrowing from a friend? I just don’t even know where to start!!
Thanks all 🙂

You don’t need a necklace if you don’t want one. If you want something simple, a single string of pearls would be beautiful and classic 🙂

I think it looks awesome without a necklace! I also think you should be comfortable and if you dont normally than don’t! I believe flowers in your hair in enough 🙂

@Pumpkin_Bee: Are you wearing it with the black sash? I think it would be lovely to have a neckalce with it but there are no rules……if you don’t feel comfortable then don’t wear one!
There are several inexpensive options thou on ETSY
I can see your dress with a necklace like this!
This is only 20.00 on ETSY…..but there are no rules and don’t feel liek you have to wear jewelry……I say its the one day you can wear and do what you want!!

@weddingbound: My dress does not have a black sash, it is ivory with an ivory sash. But still, I think the pearls are lovely! Perhaps I will have to try some on 🙂 Thank you so much for the advice!

I wouldn’t wear a necklace – I would probably wear earrings and a bracelet 🙂

I would say that you dont have to wear one! I was under the assumption that I *had* to wear a necklace since its a wedding, blah blah blah. But I’m finding how timeless brides look without them. Less really is more when it comes to jewelry. I will only be wearing a sash and earrings.
