I purchased a necklace set that I loved in pictures. I loved it when I got it and then when I tried it on with the dress I “liked” it but I didn’t love it. The necklace seems too modern for my dress. I didn’t want to wear plain pearls but I did want to wear something with light ivory pearls in it. I was hoping to find a necklace with pearls and a little “bling” since my dress has no bling. I wanted to dress it up a big. But I think this necklace is too chunky and modern. Any thoughts. I was thinking of looking for a pearl and rhinestone drop necklace or something like that. I would love any suggestions. I have decide whether or not to return this necklace very quickly. I am still within my return window. it was $90…too expensive for me to hold onto just in case. Its kind of hard to see the jewelry in my pictures. Not the best cell phone pictures. But you get the idea. I also included the official photo of the jewelry. Sorry for the large photos. I couldn’t figure out how to resize them.

I think it is beautiful and looks great.

Oo…I really like it! I think that style looks much better than a drop style would.

In my ever so humble opinion that dress has enough going on around the neckline with that beautiful flower and a necklace isn’t necessary. Love the earrings, love the bracelet but I think the necklace is too much.

I agree with Treejewel….you don’t need the necklace. Bracelet and earrings look great but with the detail on the dress, I think the necklace is overkill.

I’m going to agree with Treejewel, too.

Oh….I forgot to mention….I’m taking the flower on the top off. That would have been an important detail. Sorry about that. I didn’t really like it. So thats why I thought the necklace was necessary…to add a little something. Does that change any opinions or do the majority of you still think no necklace would be best?

I agree with @Treejewel19: and @HollyGuinness: — given the flowers and other detailing on your gown, I would not wear a necklace, especially not a drop necklace, which is what you said you are now considering.
As for the necklace you purchased, I must say I think it’s gorgeous in its own right (I do not think it looks too modern.) However, if you wanted to wear that necklace — or any other, I definitely would remove the flower near the neckline of your gown.

@VegasTina: Even without that flower on the top (just the one on the side) I still feel it is a bit much. You have such a gorgeous neckline and rouching. Maybe it’s just me but I like the overall look a little simpler.

I love love love your dress! It’s very romantic…and I think you need romantic style jewelry with it. Maybe this necklace with floaty pearls and crystals??

I actually love the necklace, and I love the flower on the neckline of the dress, but I don’t love them together. I would get rid of one or the other. Beautiful dress though!
