I am in love with this necklace…
But it’s a little out of my budget, and the designer said it takes one to two weeks to receive from Scotland, unless it gets stuck in customs. But I love, love, love it, and love to support the great people of Etsy. So I worry I may not get it in time, and I am spending too much money.
The other thought I had was it may be too big for my dress- I am wearing the cap sleeves with the dress. The sleeves don’t really hold the dress up, so it feels strapless so I might feel a little bare… but I don’t want too much going on either!
So stylish bees, what do you think? Should I get the necklace or do you think there would be too much going on with the dress and the cap sleeves?
For other jewelry I am wearing these earrings: http://www.maxandchloe.com/fulldetails/9559/144,146
and then a bracelet my mom wore at her wedding that was given to her by my great grandmother.
What would you do?

I think that necklace would look nice with your dress!

I think those earrings with that necklace would be too much

I think you’ll definitely get it before your wedding, and I think if you’re going for a beach wedding, it’s lovely. I think it wouldn’t overwhelm the details. And I think you could absolutely wear it after your wedding…it’s a great necklace. I say go for it!

Those earings & that necklace don’t really match at all, IMO. And would be way to busy together.
If you go with your dangled earings w/ the cap sleeves, and I would def go bare neck.
The necklace is really cute & could look fine w/ the cap sleeve, but you would have to wear small stud earings for your look to be toned down and not too busy.

My general rule of thumb with accessories is that if you have to ask, skip it.
I think that in this case it doesn’t apply. 🙂 A nice necklace like that would really complement your dress.

I love the necklace, just not sure that it goes with the earrings. I say if you love it then go for it because you will find opportunities to wear it after the wedding too!

I agree with PPs-love the necklace, but I’m not sure about it with the earrings.

Oh yeah, I want to amend my comment to say that the necklace doesn’t go with the earrings. Why not buy some simple pearl ones to match the necklace? That same etsy shop has a lot of nice ones.

I love the necklace! I say go for it!

I love the necklace and definitely think you should get one, however, if that one is out of your budget, maybe you want to have another Etsy seller make something similar or try to find something that is in your budget.

I would go for the necklace and maybe a nice set of fireball studs or possibly pearls. The necklace with the earrings you have might be a tad overwhelming.

I agree with other girls saying the necklace is beautiful, but doesn’t go with the earrings. Simple pearls would be better.

Thank you all for your comments! I decided not to order the necklace (since I already have the earrings) and to forgo wearing any necklace.
I am going to get this clip from Etsy… http://www.etsy.com/listing/71546610/starfish-with-pearl-and-rhinestones-hair to keep with the starfish throughout the reception, and it will be attached to my veil, but other than that I am just wearing earrings and the bracelet.
I agree with everyone when they say that the necklace can be worn again, so someday I may purchase it as a splurge! In the meantime, the $108 can go towards the honeymoon!
Thank you for your opinions!
