My dress has a sweetheart neckline (Mori Lee 1601) and I always think that if you have that sort of neckline that a necklace is a must. In my FI’s religion (we are getting married Orthodox) his godparents must buy the bride and groom something gold. His godparents are buying us gold and diamond crosses. So that is what i am wearing. If you ahve a straight across neckline, I would think just big blingy earrings would be okay. You should post a pic of your dress so we could give you some better advice!

No necklace here either.  My neckline is strapless sweatheart and I prefer the look of a bare neck/upper chest.  IMO is looks a bit more elegant without a necklace.  I have blingy earrings and a bracelet as my accessories!

My dress is the Kendra from Maggie Sottero, with sweatheart neckline. I love it with some blinged out earings and a bracelet.

My dress was a sweetheart, but mostly I just did an earrings and a necklace because there was a lot of beading and crystals at the top of the dress. We tried a couple different necklaces, but they were all too busy.

I have a strapless sweatheart neckline. I’m wearing a simple strand of pearls and simple pearl and diamond earrings and a plain bracelet. I’ve never really had a dream wedding or dream wedding dress, but I had a dream pearl necklace. =) And the earrings just matched well and it’s a tradition for parents to gift their daughter a bracelet on their wedding day, no clue why, just what they said.

Edit: there’s no beading on my dress, just ruching and a textured skirt.

If your doing blingy earings I would suggest no necklace. I had a strapeless gown  with a soft sweet heart neckline and wore matching Dantela Necklace and Bracelet. For Earrings I went simple and wore some sunburst stud earrings.

I did a necklace and bracelet, but because I don’t have pierced ears!

My dress has a sweetheart neckline.

I plan to wear diamond or pearl or a mix of the two earrings.

Brooch in my hair and hopefully a cuff or bracelet.

    No Necklace for me.

Several different sales people at the various dress shops I visited told me no necklace, they said it would make my neck look longer/thinner without one.

No big jewelry for me because my dress is foofy enough… just maybe blingy studs… plus, I want the focus to be on me, my dress, and my wedding rings. But I’m not that big of a jewelry girl anyway 🙂
