Post a pic of your dress so we can give you good advice.

In general, I think if the bodice is detailed/has a good amount of beading, then skip the necklace.

I’d wear fancy earrings instead of a necklace, and maybe a bracelet also.

Yes necklace!

Your neck is naked. I feel naked all dressed up w/o a pendant, too.

Great dress!

If you do a necklace at all, keep it simple and clean–a small pendant maybe. But I’d go without.

I’d say do a shorter necklace with a thin pendant… something just a little longer than a choker.

A simple necklace.  Like a chain with a small diamond pendant

Meh, nobody *needs* it, but it is nice to wear a little more jewelery than normal. I had on a diamond pendant (on a very thin chain), some pearl drop cluster earrings, a pearl and sparkly bracelet, and yeah thats it. The bigger earrings contrast nicely with a simpler necklace, but still give you a lttle bit of neck sparkle.
