I would worry that the pendant would hang too low. But then again, I’m not much of a fan of pendant necklaces for that reason. Is she worried the necklace might get swallowed up by the dress and not be seen? Here’s one with a pendant:

What about something simple like a strand of pearls? Or other ideas, like these:

Otherwise, most pictures I search for strapless gowns, the celebs aren’t even wearing necklaces!

I have a V-neck dress, so my jewelery shopping is a bit different. I bought this from Etsy: Otis B – briguysgirls.

I think your pendant will look great with the dress!

I wore a strand of perals with my v-neck dress (which I think is a no-no) and I loved how it looked anyway.  I would just try them on together and see where it falls and if you like the look.

I had the same problem, not knowing which kind of necklace goes with which kind of neckline. I have a Maggie that has a neckline very similar to the one you showed. My friend who is very jewelry saavy told me that I should get a necklace that comes to a point because it breaks up the straight line of the dress across the chest.

I got this necklace (Thanks to my MOH!) I’m really excited about it! I haven’t seen the two together yet but I am sure its going to work out. I tried some simple necklaces on but to be honest they just kind of faded into the background, they didn’t stand out at all. I think it really just depends on your style, to be honest.

Put your dress on and go to the stores to try stuff out! Just kidding, but wouldn’t that be funny??

my only concern is if the pendant sits on the neckline, I think it takes away from that whole area – the necklace, the top of the dress etc. If you find a pendant thats a good length I think it will look great! if simplicity is the direction you want to take then you can, or you could go sans necklace if you would prefer that, I think that would look fine too!

As long as your pendant necklace, hits right below the collarbone, it will look great with your dress. You want it to be at least 1 – 2 inches above where the dress start.  I would either do that, or a pearl chocker (at least 2 strand) to mimic the dress line across your body.

Good luck!
