I bought my dress (http://www.victoriasbridalcouture.com/catalog_i6691694.html?catId=282368) and think I would like the change the neckline so that it’s a sweetheart neckline, not straight. Does anyone know if it’s possible for the dress to be altered in this way? Also, what do you think, would that improve the look of the dress or not?
Thanks so much!

My dress was altered from straight:
I thought it was infinitely more flattering, and the tailor said that it really wasn’t that difficult to do. Does your bridal shop have an in-house tailor/seamstress that could advise you on the logistics?

I love love love that dress……SO pretty! I am having the top of my strapless dress made into more of a sweetheart neckline – its not totally straight across, but I wanted it more "sweetheart-ish". The woman that does the alterations says that it is possible, but I think that it depends on the dress itself, so I would check with the bridal salon. Either way, I’m sure you will look beautiful in it!

Magnolia and Miss Vanilla – You have given me hope! Miss Magnolia I agree your dress is lovely with the altered neckline! I actually got the dress at a sample sale, so no bridal salon alterations for me but I feel much more confident asking for what I want now. Thanks for the compliments!

I talked to a seamstress for David’s Bridal and she said it was EASY to turn a straight into a sweetheart.

I think the dress would like great if you changed it to a sweetheart neckline!
I might do the same thing for my dress… I was wondering the same thing!
