Hello ladies, I keep landing on this site so figured I’d make an account! I’m debating with myself over dresses… would love to hear some of your thoughts. One of the first dresses I had a ‘dress crush’ on is Pronovias Iman:
I really love, love, love the back of the dress, but I’m just afraid the front is a bit too plain. Add to that, I really shouldn’t spend 5,000 on a dress. I’ve contacted a bridal seamstress, who can make it for me for 2,000, but I really shouldn’t spend that, either (lol)! Since the dress is pretty plain, I thought about buying a less expensive, simple strapless dress & having the seamstress make the lace top & veil…but then I look at the pleats on the side & wonder if that isn’t a big part of the overall look of the dress! So I’m not sure what to do.
My second dilemma is that I really love lace & tulle! Pronovias Iman has lace but not tulle… I really love the super-full, ballgown look and the floaty, dreaminess of big full tulle skirts…
Woooo…. anyways. I know some of you ladies are dress hunters and know practically everything on the market today…wondered if you had any thoughts! Eventually the dress will somehow have to have 1/2 or 3/4 sleeves (I hate my upper arms & am getting married in early April in New England in a Catholic Traditional Latin Mass in a basilica…but even if I wasn’t, I still hate my upper arms! lol) A strapless dress is still a possibility though, I found this bridal lace shirt thing on Etsy & really like it, you basically just wear it over a strapless dress:
Making this all so much easier is the fact that I’d like to spend 1,000 or less. Gah. Any suggestions?
