Hi all, I’m looking for a talented custom wedding invitations designer in the Boston area. I’m on a limited budget so I can’t hire anyone with high end-prices, but if you worked with someone you loved, I’ll take any and all suggestions. I really need someone who is fabulous with colors and could help me define my color palatte and invite style!! I do know that my central color is amethyst, but I’m COMPLETELY overwhelmed by all the complementary choices out there! I’d be willing to work with an artist whose just starting out in the wedding invite business if the price is right. Thanks for your suggestions!

Have you considered looking at etsy? There are ton of talented graphic designers there that can customize any colors/designs that you like. They are also amazingly priced as they generally have very little overhead and/or do this as a part-time job.

Quincy, MA — Emerald Invitations. So far they have been absolutely fabulous with the entire design process, and they offer so many different options (not things out of a book, but real custom work) that I’m confident you could find something in your price range. We won’t be ordering the final product(s) quite yet, but I still strongly suggest making an appointment to meet with them. Chris is the guy you’ll want to speak with. Feel free to PM me if you want more details.

I used Invitations and Company – not custom design per se, but Arlene (the owner) has shelves full of sample books from different designers and she was really knowledgeable and helpful in choosing a design and a style that wasn’t overly expensive.
When I was looking for invitation help, I was also interested in https://www.textstyledesigns.com/design-process.cfm. I don’t know anyone who’s used them, but it sounds like they can help you design an invitation and give you the option of doing some or all of the printing and assembly yourself in order to save money. Good luck! 🙂
