Darling Husband and I have been tossing around names for weeks, and we can’t come up with one. So even though I generally don’t like baby name posts, I come, hat in hand, and begging for help.
Here’s what we know:
We are 100% going with Logan for the first name. If you don’t like it, don’t suggest a different first name, I’ll lose my mind.
Our last name ends in y, so our original middle name choice “Riley” sounds too rhymey with our last name.
Darling Husband likes single or triple syllable middle names, while I tend to gravitate toward two.
His current favorite is Logan Elijah, but I’m pretty neutral about this. (FWIW, the inspiration for Elijah is from Vampire Diaries, not the Bible…)
I like Logan Hunter or Logan Archer, and he says that either of those are fine.
We LOVE our daughter’s middle name, and we haven’t found any name for DS that we feel that strongly about.
So, does anyone have the perfect name out there somewhere? Or should we go with something that is just good enough?

No suggestions yet, but I found it helpful to practice yelling the name in a chastising tone (since that’s the only time you’ll be saying his middle name). If it rolls of the tongue, then you know it’s a keeper 🙂
ETA: I like Logan Christopher

Do you have a family member or another important person you’d like to name the baby after? I’m a big fan of family names or other names with a special meaning. Fiance and I have decided that (when the time comes) if we have a girl, we’re going to name her Josephine Teresa. Josephine in memory of his brother, whose middle name was Joseph, and Teresa in honor of St. Teresa of Avila, my favorite saint. For a boy, we’d probably go with Joseph Anthony – Joseph for his brother and Anthony after my dad and brother’s middle names. So maybe poaching a name from someone special to you will do the trick! 🙂

@Quietserenity: Matthew? Michael? Rhys/Reese?
Are there any family names you’d maybe like to use?

I like Logan Archer. I also like Logan James. That’s the first name that popped into my head when reading your post.

Logan Elijah sounds great to me. Others you might like given the three names you listed:
Logan Tanner, Logan Carter, Logan Harper, Logan Fisher, Logan Parker, Logan Micah, Logan Asher, Logan Jonah, Logan Grant, Logan Silas, Logan Ezra

@anotherbee: I second Logan James. I know someone with that name and I always thought it sounded nice. Or Logan John, even!
Logan Thomas is nice too.
I love the name Logan, so I think almost anything goes with it!

@anotherbee: haha, that’s funny, we both like Logan James, but James is his teenage son’s middle name, and also my ex-extremely serious boyfriend, so we can’t do that for multiple reasons.
A lot of these names have been considered and passed over for one reason or another.
@Miss Mauverick: Logan Parker was one we hadn’t thought of–and that’s a distinct possibility, Darling Husband is a super nerd, so all I had to do was mention Spider Man and it became worthy of consideration. Fingers crossed, I like this one!
@KatieBklyn: We tried family names, but his family tends to name people nicknames as legal names. IE, instead of naming someone Charles, the legal name will be Charlie. That kind of grinds my gears…the names in my family have all been recycled at least once, I’m the youngest daughter having kids, so my sisters got to a lot of them first.

I like Logan Christopher …. i just yelled it (in my mind) and it totally rolled right off off the tongue!!
What about your husbands middle name? Or your maiden name?
