I’m a 3 time Lansing MOB.  Are you looking for a full-service kind of place or a place where you can bring in your own caterer, alcohol and bartender?  How big is your wedding and who are your other vendors?

gosh, apparently I’m a 3 time NOSEY Lansing MOB!

We’re getting married at MSU’s horticulture gardens. The reception is in the conservatory (basically a giant greenhouse). You can bring in your own catering/bar, etc. It’s not low cost but it’s not even close to the expensive-and-not-that-great Kellogg center.

They don’t – they have all months in their pricing listed in the brochure on the website (google “MSU horticulture gardens wedding”). That said, I know this year (2013) they had campus-related events in March and April and so they had no openings.

We are getting married at the Hawk Hollow chapel and having our reception at Eagle Eye Golf Course.  The chapel is expensive, but the reception room was not bad in my opinion.  There was a church that can be rented and is much cheaper.  I just fell in love with the Hawk Hollow Chapel, I thought it was an adorable little chapel! There is Hawk Hollow Golf Course, which is right across the street as well.
