I rarely ever go on vacation, let alone take days off of work. I am sooo in need of some time off! Where are some good places to travel within the US that aren’t very expensive? I’d love to go back to Disney World but it’s so darn expensive!! I haven’t been very many places so I’m open to all suggestions!

Where do you live? Are you looking to travel somewhere you need to fly or can drive to?
Some of my favorite recent US trips have been Austin, Savannah, and Chicago. New Orleans is always a favorite as well.

JazzyGirl85: If you want to go to Disney and you’re willing to go in February the hotel deals up right now are INSANE.
We’re considering booking a week just because some great hotels are ridiculously cheap and jetblue flights down to Orlando are also cheap. Something to think about if you can wait it out

My favorite vacation recently has been a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Rented a cabin, went whitewater rafting (TOTALLY RECOMMEND, BTW), went hiking on the Appalachian trail, and jumped off a boulder into a swimming hole. It was totally different from what I’d normally do, and I loved every second. I also really love Galveston, TX, Chicago, and Savannah.

louisianablue: I live in the Midwest. Travel by plane is best.
Derp: Feb would be great bc it’s cold and gross here! Winter seems to last forever, yet the summer has flown by! My brother lives outside of Orlando so I could stay there if need be. The park and plane tickets are a killer!
stephncollins: we were originally going to elope in Gatlinburg. It looks so pretty!
