I’m helping a friend look for a venue and we need help! She have friends in the beverage industry that have offered to supply alcohol as a gift! Big gift, and such a huge help! But now we can’t find a place in the city that can accomidate 300 ppl other than hotels(which don’t allow outside alcohol). The date will be in september or october, so outside maybe unpredictible. This has been tough, so I thought I’d aks the experts!
any help is super appriciated!

hmmm that’s a tough one. Due to Georgia liquor laws, it is going to be hard to find an event space that will allow you to bring in outside liquor in most of the “big” venues downtown. I don’t have any specific suggestions, but perhaps this website will help you think of some places?

Call Tam’s backstage in Cumming and ask for their manager. I know the owner/manager knows of a property with a barn and lake and it could be large enough. Not sure about the liquor policy though.
Some sort of private property might be the type of place you’re looking for.

Not sure about 300, their site states they can seat 250 for a buffet dinner, but Hudgens Center for the arts near the Gwinnett Center allows outside liquor provided you hire a licensed bartender/server.

Try Spring Hall Atlanta. I just coordinated a large wedding there and they allowed outside alcohol. The maximum capacity is 350 banquet style.
