Hi there!
I am looking for a venue (preferably outdoor, or a combo) for the ceremony and reception. I can only seem to find places around 10k, which force me to use their vendors, and services. I am pretty confident i can save myself quite a bit of money by bringing in my own vendors and suppliers for chairs/tables/lights, other decorations, and food. It would be nice as well to not have to hire someone licensed to serve alchohol, but if thats one of the few things i have to hire out for (or use venue’s services), then fine.
I also have somone already that can officiate!
If anyone has a suggestion for somewhere withint the OC area (North or South), i am open for ideas!
Thank you so much! 🙂

Check state parks, they sometimes have great facilities and they are always cheap!

How about a vineyard or contact that areas historical society and see if they have some venues in your budget. My fiancé and I wedding and reception is at a historical site. We have the whole 2 story building with ballroom, which was built in 1878, to ourselves. We only had to pay $650 to rent it.

kompassionatedrd2b: Historical sites were on my list! But the ones i saw also had their own services that they required you to go thru. Where is yours planned at? Curious to know fr an example!!

How many people? I used a restaurant that had an outdoor space. The rental for the space was only $200.

itsjess8: sorry to reply months later. We are getting married in Crown Point, Indiana. The historical society in charge of our venue doesn’t have binding contracts with other vendors. I despise venues with those contracted vendors.
