We’re going to have a playlist while guests are being seated for our outdoor gazebo ceremony.
I’m looking for a few more good ideas to add to our song list, because I want to have about a half hour total. We like all styles of music, we just want to keep them all rather simple songs that aren’t big productions…just a simple guitar feeling. For the processional we’re walking down the aisle to a completely acoustic guitar song (my fiance is recording a version of Falling Slowly himself)
Here’s my list so far: Sparks Fly – Julie Sheer and Tyler Ward’s acoustic version of Taylor Swift’s song Makin Plans – Miranda Lambert Universe & U – KT Tunstall Marry Me – Train Forever – Ben Harper
I want like 4 more songs that fit the acoustic guitar style! Thanks!!!
@Soon2bSuttle: Actually we’re using Lucky for the recessional! 🙂 we love him too! We really love Beautiful Mess but I can’t seem to find a good acoustic one of that…the beginning is very acoustic but we don’t love the end with the chorus and all that.
@AnnieAAA: LOVE IT! We love Johnny Cash! Added to the list. 🙂
@sarahbabs: That’s a great song! So cute. I’m gonna have Fiance listen to it.
@MrsLongcoatPeacoat: Those are nice choices too. Very bluesy…not sure if it would clash with the style we have or not though….keep it on the maybe list for sure!
I forgot that I was going to add this one too: Matt Wertz’s “I Will Not Take My Love Away”
I went to a beachy wedding where the processional was set to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole… It’s ukelele, not acoustic, but the same sound as what you’re going for. And who doesn’t love that song?
we did acousic guitar for our ceremony… the bridal party walked to “God Only Knows” (beach boys), I walked to “here there and everywhere” (beatles), our mid-ceremony song was “chasing cars” (snow patrol), and we recessed to “How sweet it is” (james taylor). 🙂
