So, I’m 34 weeks along today. I had a little bit of nausea in my first trimester but very little actual sickness and have generally been feeling pretty good and had a relatively easy pregnancy with only minor complaints of fatigue, reflux and back pain.
In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been re-experiencing nausea. My Darling Husband is worried and wants me to call the doctor, and I know this is stupid, but I’m in the health field and I hate the idea of calling and there being absolutely nothing wrong. So I wanted to find out if other ladies experienced some nausea in their third trimester. I do not have a fever, I haven’t actually thrown up, the baby is still moving a lot, and the nausea comes and goes at sporadic times.
Any advice or reassurance? Thanks bees!

I’m sure it’s probably nothing, but for me, I would feel better talkign to my doctor about it and making sure. You’ll feel better. And so what if it’s nothing — it’s not like anyone will think less of you!

Call the doctor. You’d rather be safe than sorry

I imagine nothing is wrong but what will it hurt to call and talk to the nurse? If nothing else it will reassure your husband, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I would call your doctor just to be sure. I had a lot of morning sickness in the third tirmester, but it never completely went away for me, so it was more of a reoccurance than a new symptom,

My current health insurance (United Healthcare) and my former college insurance plans both had a 24-hour nurse hotline you can call to ask basic health questions. Maybe your plan has something similar? Mine is called Dial-A-Nurse.

I’m at 25 weeks, but went most of the first part of the second trimester without any nausea. Now it seems like I get sick more easily, but my midwife attributed it to less room for my stomach and heartburn/reflux upsetting my stomach. I would call your ob’s office though. It’s always better to be safe.

Morning Sickness does come back for some women during the 3rd Trimester – so hopefully that’s all it is. At this point you should be seeing your doc again soon so you can ask about it then if you don’t want to call 🙂
Really – I’m sure there are women who call the Dr every single week about something – that’s what they are there for! You one phone call will not bother them!

Thanks for all the advice ladies! I don’t think it’s anything too big either and I go to see the doctor on Friday. If I feel nauseous again tomorrow maybe I’ll call but it doesn’t really seem consistent!
On a very off topic: there are so many posters on wedding bee I truly appreciate and would love to be friends with in real life. I was just reading a ring post where there were some pretty snarky comments. I tend to just stop reading those posts immediately when I see the first nasty comment.
Anyways, thank you all for not judging me for not wanting to call the OB right away! 🙂
