Hi fellow bees!
I’m a brand new member here, and I’d like to ask for some advice. I recently got my DREAM dress…LZ3153 from Lazaro, but at a HUGE discount! I bought it preowned, and was lucky enough to find a bride who had almost the exact same measurements as I do! I basically don’t have to do any alterations because we are so similar in size. The one drawback is that this bride had the dress custom made so that the neckline was changed from the original deep sweetheart to a semi-sweetheart. Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the original super deep sweetheart, I think I’d still prefer a little more of a sweetheart look. I’m now undecided as to whether I should have the neckline altered to a true sweetheart (not as deep as the original, but deeper than what I currently have). I know it will be a little more difficult/costly due to the beading, but since I saved so much on the dress and don’t have any other alterations, I’m willing to spend a little more to change the neckline if I decide to. What is everyone’s thoughts?? Change it or keep it??
This is how the original super deep sweetheart looked in the store:
This is how my dress looks now, with a semi-sweetheart neckline:
Aaaand this is my crude approximation of what it would look like post alteration (using Paint )
Aaand for context, this is what the original looked full body vs what it currently looks like full body (sorry for the poorly lit kitchen picture…I live in a tiny NYC apartment!)
(original sample) vs (current)
