My hubby and I met and serve at church on worship team.. So worship is a huge part of our lives and we have incorporated music into our invitation.
We have been struggling to find a bible verse to reflect our thankfulness to God for putting us together.
We want to put a verse at the front of the invitation and one ( perhaps longer) verse at the back of the invite. We are thinking of psalm 100 v.4 ( give thanks to Him and praise Him) on the front cover, and “for the lord is good … ” psalm 100:5 at the back. We love the Psalm coz it’s a psalm of thanksgiving…but apart from “we love because God first loved us”…we cannot find something short and sweet to put at the front.
Does it sound weird to just have 100:4 on the cover? Any other verses that are less wordy and we can put in the cover, and/ or continue at the back?

I think those verses would be great! And really it’s just a matter of how you break them up and how your invitations are going to look…
I think if it were like this it would totally work
Enter His gates with Thanksgiving
and His courts with praise…
… give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever,
His faithfulness continues through all generations.
It’s just a matter of font you use but I don’t think it’ll be too long. Just play with it 😉

Our scripture reading in our ceremony was Colossians 3:12-17, which I love because its not so common as a wedding reading but so perfect in so many ways. Verses 16 might work for you guys:
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
(King James version)
