Soon2bmrs1:  I have to ask that too. Is your Fiance not ready to get married? If your parents are paying are the ready for it to be this soon? There are so many things going on that I feel like this is a play where we came in on the second act.

disneychick4ever:  Saying it again, close this thread. There’s a button right under the headline on this page that only you can see, right next to where it says “follow this thread.”

disneychick4ever:  just wait. If you were 35 and waiting 2 more years for a wedding Id say go for it. But time is not an issue for you at all. So get married and get stable jobs first.

disneychick4ever:  I’m not sure why not having a job means that you have no say over your own life – if you don’t have a job, wait until you get one before planning a wedding, or go get married at the courthouse this afternoon.

I suggest that you go ahead and close this post, since you’re done seeing the replies.

Soon2bmrs1:  I agree. I don’t understand why not having a job is causing you to get married sooner. But my best advice, like the others have said, close the thread, call off the wedding, get a job, pay for it yourselves so you can have it when you want, have a baby when you want, and do anything and everything you want, since you’ll end up doing it anyway.

She didn’t mention needing financial advice in the original post so I don’t think it’s necessary to attack.

OP, since your wedding is in 16 months I would definitely wait. I had baby fever too but I’m glad I stuck to my “old school” belief of waiting. Pregnancy is a lot more difficult than I suspected and babies will change your body and your relationship. So enjoy the romance and fun of the wedding and the honeymoon stage together, because you’ll never get this time back! When the time is right you’ll just “know”.
