Only two months after our wedding, I discovered one of the diamonds in my wedding band was missing. It was a 5 stone eternity band and the diamonds were a decent size. (1.2 total carats total and this was one of the larger stones), The store does not have a replacement stone and has offered a refund. I don’t want a refund, I want my original wedding band. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Take it to a better jeweler and have them replace the diamond? I’m not sure why this jeweler can’t accomodate something as easy as replacing a stone…you don’t need to get a refund, it should be a simple fix!

Why can they not find a replacement stone?? It should be a pretty easy thing to order in.

I’m also confused about why the jeweler can’t just order in a stone and replace it? If they really can’t/won’t offer anything other than I refund then I’d suggest you take the refund and buy or recreate an identical band elsewhere.

If they can’t manage a replacement stone, I’d return it and find a new jeweler!
