My dress came in a month early, which is not a problem. I am happy that it is here already, but my dilema is, they want me to pick it up & then bring it back for the alterations next month. I already have my alteration appointment scheduled. Here is my question, do I change my alterations appointment to next week & have them start my alterations, or wait until next month in case I gain or loose (prefer the loose) weight before the wedding. I just don’t want to have to do last minute alterations if that happens, but I would feel better if my dress was finished now. What to do, what to do……Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn’t start your alterations until it gets closer to the wedding date. If they thought it would have been fine to do it later, then just wait and you won’t have to worry about any unexpected changes in size.

How much are you having to alter? There’s no harm in going in and trying on the dress now and then seeing if you can switch up the appointment to earlier if they have a slot. But I wouldn’t advise loosing a lot of weight between alterations so if you’re planning on loosing quite a bit then I’d hold off on the alterations until you’re closer to your target otherwise you just end up doing loads of alterations.
