I think they are very nice dresses and definitely fit your theme well!  I would say the prices are typical for a lot of Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, so I don’t think the price should be a huge issue, especially if they have a while to save up still.  I would talk to your girls about what they are comfortable with just to be safe though!  Then you could decide if you are able/wiling to cover some of the cost yourself.

I like the 3rd and the 4th one.

So I was in a wedding where the dress was almost $200…and I had 3 weeks from being told by the bride which dress to buy and the wedding…. so I don’t think it should be an issue since you are giving them over a year notice.  It’s just saving an extra $15 a month.  I think they will match your theme.  But if you’re worried about what your bridesmaids will think talk to them, see if this is even a dress they’ll be able to wear again.

It depends. For my bridesmaids, $100 was the max price they were comfortable with. $150 isn’t a biggie to me, but it would have been in some past stages of my life. Maybe the lady will knock some money off the dresses if you buy a certain amount. I can’t tell what’s on the fabric of the “favorite” one, but I like that style the most. I’d be most concerned about fit….i certainly cannot wear a dress in that style without some major alterations, so hopefully the lady making them can accomodate any unique needs your bridesmaids have. That’s probably the biggest concern with spending money on a dress

If I was on a tight budget I wouldn’t be very happy with spending $170 on a dress that I would NEVER wear again (except maybe as a halloween costume).

I like your favorite one, and think as long as your girls aren’t too busty it would look nice on them. I wouldn’t mind the price of that dress because it is re-wearable.

My opinion on the other dresses aren’t as nice. The first one kind of looks like it has body armor on the chest area. I do like the overall silhouette of the dress though!

The second one would make me look pregnant (and I am 5 feet, 100 pounds) because I have a C cup (average!) and the boob area is never made big enough to accommodate them.

The third dress makes the thin model look boxy, so if your ladies are curvy in anyway I don’t think the dress would flatter their figure well :/

It’s Etsy, so you may be able to ask the seller if he/she would be willing to customize the dress for you and make the skirt longer.  I’m sure a mid-calf tea length dress would be fine for fall.

Also, not sure if it’s just me but the link to your dress on David’s Bridal isn’t working…

@SweetRose2011 – do your BMs have to travel in from out of town for your wedding?  in my opinion, I think $150ish is not an unreasonable request to ask BMs to spend for a dress.  but if they have to do a lot of traveling, take time off, pay for a hotel, etc. that may be tough for them to swallow on a dress that they won’t ever wear again.  Since you have quite a bit of time left in your planning process, why don’t you ask what price points are comfortable for them?  If they are okay with it, go for it.  If not, take your time and see if there is something else at a better price.

I love them and think they fit your theme well! I have been in 6 weddings and all the dresses have been under $200 which I think is reasonable. But I agree with other posters that have said to discuss price point comfortability with your gals.
