I have found two dresses that I LOVE. Both have features I want… I wish I could have both. Help!
The first one is what I always wanted, a tradition ballgown, especially a big one. This ballgown is very lacey and has so many intricate details which I love. I picked this one off the rack as soon as I saw it. My only concern is that I think I look short and awkward in it.
This one is from the same designer however, it has a more modern look. It was recommended to me by the shop attendant. She said it would look great on me but I wasn’t keen on trying it on because I only wanted a ballgown. Then, when I tried it on, I REALLY LOVED it. The problem is that the sample dress was “antique gold” and I wasn’t able to try it on in white, which is the color I would get it in so I wouldn’t be able to see the actual color until it arrived. It’s not as big as I’d like though.

They’re both beautiful dresses but I choose #1 because the dress “tail” is more unique and I think you’re wonderful and romantic and lovely in that dress!

Honestly? Dress two is far more flattering 🙂

I really liked the first gown … UNTIL I saw the picture showing the tiers of ruffles at the bottom of the back of the dress. To be honest, they seem very awkwardly placed to me, and, in my opinion, they completely detract from the beauty of the rest of the gown.
I absolutely LOVE the second gown on you. It’s GORGEOUS!!!

Oh gosh, I love both! At first, I didn’t like the train on the first one, but when I saw your reflection in the mirror, I loved it! I don’t know how to describe it, but it kinda looks like snow or something magnificently white is billowing out of your dress. Very dramatic. I like 🙂 It doesn’t make you look short. I’m 5’2″ and I’m wearing a poofy ballgown too.

@junegirl: those are adjectives that represent that dress perfectly, i think you’re right.

dress one for sure. I think it will look more “right” when its fitted better.

I bet a combination of the two would make you super happy. Do not like the ruffles on the first dress, but I loved everything else. You just didn’t seem as “glowy” in the second dress.

how tall are you? do you feel unconfortable in the first dress? cuz it does look like is eating you. I love the second one, much more clean and looks more fancy, not too super busy but with a lot of detail still.

The second dress is much more flattering!

I like the first one better… I’m not into the bow on the butt of the second one and i prefer all the detail dress 1 has to offer and I like the uniqueness of the train! You should add a poll!

@anitabonita: It does look like it’s eating me, haha. I am rather short, only 5’0.
