There are lots of different things! I think we are doing a dessert buffet with an assortment of mini deserts (cheesecakes, eclairs, cream puffs, etc).

Other options I’ve seen around the hive:

Cookie buffet (love this idea)

Chocolate fountain

Homemade deserts (have some favorite family recipes included)

Candy Buffet (we are doing this in addition to our mini deserts)

Dairy Queen wedding cake- I had a tread about this, it is possible!

Since your wedding date looks like it’s in summer an ice cream bar would be tasty, you could have things set up for people to make sundaes.

Close to traditional but still fun are cupcakes. That’s what we’re probably doing.

I’ve also seen some fun blog posts with wedding pies! Different but still familiar.

I love the cookie buffet idea. I like cookies more than cake, so it’s definitely something I considered.

We are having Cold Stone Creamery provide ice cream for everyone instead of cake , I should add though that we are doing a small cutting cake (2 layers), so we can still “cut the cake”

We are doing cupcakes! We’re going to put them on a tiered cake stand and the top tier will be actual cake so we can cut it! I’ll post some of my inspiration pictures so you can see

Our venue provides an amazing carrot cake we just LOVE! So we decided to do a Kransekakea Norwegian wedding cake, just to bring in a little “heritage” since we are both Norwegian!  [attachment=1580391,197563]

We had cup cakes with a cake layer at the top for us to cut into on the night, We gave the cup cakes to our guests as favours as we were already having desert.
