I need opinions. My fiance is about 5’10 (at least thats what he says…I think its more like 5’9.5). I am almost 5’6, and with heels I’m either taller or we are the same height.
I FINALLY found wedding shoes to go with my dress and of course they are high. When I wear them we are about eye to eye in his dress shoes. If he wears boots he has maybe an extra half inch on me…but we are getting married in July so its not really an option
So…do I wear them or not?! Like, it took me fooooooorever to find these shoes and I love them but I just don’t know if it will look funny. And like hes built in such a way that even though we are eye to eye I still look taller. ugggghhh
what do i do!?

Eh. I’m taller than my Fiance even when I’m barefoot, so I say go for it. He’s still possibly half an inch taller.

You should do what you feel comfortable with. Do you not like feeling taller? If not, I’d probably go with a lower heel. But if you don’t mind or like being the same height, then go for the higher shoes! I personally prefer to be shorter than my fiance (Although its not an issue because he’s like 5’11ish and I’m 5’2ish…so there arent any heels in the world that would make me close to his height), but you should just pick what’s right for you both.

I’m taller than my Fiance no matter what. It’s really not that big of a deal…especially since you will be eye to eye.

Definitely wear them if you love them. It doesn’t matter who’s taller! 🙂

if you don’t want to look taller in pictures then i say find a different pair of shoes. If you don’t mind the height difference then wear them. I personally will never be taller than my Darling Husband no matter what height shoes I wear, but would find it strange if we were suddenly the same height in pictures.

I think that personally if I didn’t normally wear taller shoes and was usually shorter than Fiance, I would want that on my wedding day too. I’m waearing flat shoes 🙂

I’m an inch shorter tha Fiance and he gets self conscious when I’m way taller in heels. It doesn’t bother me at all to be taller than him. In our engagement pics I wore heels and you couldn’t really tell at all that I was taller. Personally I am wearing flip flops on my wedding day so I’m not taller in pics anyway.

I guess it depends. Are you goign to wear a veil too? Depending on the style, a veil might add some more height (a few inches even!), and you might tower over him. If you’re not wearing a veil, I think you’re fine with being eye level, so go ahead and wear it.

In heels I surpass my FIs height. If photo opps are a concern what about standing on lower ground, like steps or something, nobody will notice though 🙂

My friend who hates being short wears some little wedges he tucks into his shoes, they make him almost 2 inches taller, would your man consider wearing these? Maybe just until after the photos are done? x
