- Wedding: August 2012
Every year there are two dates in the summer when the Nascar races come to our state. Several of my family members are die-hard fans and go to BOTH races every year. Unfortunately, one of the few dates that would work out for all of our vendors fell on one of these dates. I booked the date anyways. What do you do? Either people will come or they won’t. I noticed on facebook that my cousin posted he was excited to be buying tickets to this year’s races. Then my Aunt reminded him of the wedding.
Due to our wedding being somewhat of a destination wedding, our invitee list has to be kept quite small. Knowing that he’d probably rather be at the races AND the fact that space at our reception is limited, is there a tactful way that I could let him know that I won’t be offended if he decides to go to the races instead? I’d rather be able to invite a friend that would stay and enjoy the party all night than someone who might just stay through dinner and leave.
