- Wedding: March 2011
I may be buying a different dress then the one I have already bought (turns out I will be 20 weeks PG on the wedding day that has been set since July!). I have tried it on at David’s Bridal and it is their famous galina dress (with that bow and the empire waste) and a 6 and an 8 fit pretty well.
Anyways, my problem is I don’t know what is the better buy and what will be cheaper once it comes to alterations.
If I buy the size 6 it fits well all around and wont need much alterations tightening the dress. BUT my boobs are practically falling out so I would add some extra material to the top of the dress (that looks like the dress) to make the bust larger. I would still need a hem.
If I buy the size 8 dress I will need a hem AND need to tighten the bodice so it fits around my bust.
My question is which would be cheaper to do alterations on? Adding material or making the dress tighter? (I know nothing about alterations)
