@JAS:  Millies in Arlington off of Lee and Glebe. She is amazing. Not the cheapest, but well worth it!

I went to Maria at Anytime Alterations in Kensington – just up Connecticut Ave. She is a bit pricey as well, but my lace gown ended up looking great.

I just got that dress as well! Yay! The BHLDN consultant told me that the scalloping at the bottom is actually a separate piece so it should be easy to hem. Best of luck!

Luis Tailoring in Old Town Alexandria was my go to when I lived in the area. I looked him up online and he’s moved from his prior location on King Street. He’s now at 117 S Henry St, Alexandria, VA. Not cheap but so worth it.

My seamstress is in Montgomery Village in MD, so I don’t know if it will be a drive for you. I lived in Alexandria, so it was a long haul. –but IMO, totally worth it.

There is another well known independent seamstress that lives in VA (I think her name is Angie, maybe in fairfax or burke, I can’t remember) and is also very popular.

But my seamstress is Estee Livioco and her number is 301-869-5971. She works from her house and is the sweetest lady. She also has a cap of I think $250 (might have changed), so no matter how much work she has to do, you wont pay more than that.

Martha from Martha’s Boutique in Hyattsville is very inexpensive and does an amazing job.  She let out a Ver Wang dress for my friend last year in May and designed all of my bridesmaids’ dresses for $90 each.  She is awesome!  6411 Ager Rd Hyattsville MD (301) 789-4240
