have you checked out wedgewood or local country clubs? I would say if you are set on having so many guests on a limited budget, you would be better off looking at a date more off season. Then you have more bargaining power with venues and caterers, etc.

Check out Sanborn Park in Saratoga. They have a Peterson Grove which is really nice with an adjacent reception area.

Also look at Rockefeller Lodge in San Pablo.

I am having my wedding at The Old homestead in Crockett – $750 for the day, tons of parking, outdoors and gorgeous!

@lovebug922:  I used Crawford’s Barn and it was lovely and very inexpensive!

Newcastle Gardens is under 2K, I believe.

The Croatian-American Cultural Center is a beautiful venue and it’s 2K to rent.

Vizcaya may be another option:

Harmony Ridge Lodge is a really pretty outdoor location that we considered:

Also, of course, there’s the Empire Mine State Park

@lovebug922:  I recently discovered this place… it is in an urban setting but it is a lot of fun. And they are quite reasonable ($750 to 2,700 depending on the number of guests).

25th Street Collective in Oakland CA

They are really flexible in terms of food, but they love supporting local businesses. They had a food truck wedding there recently..
