What about silver or grey dresses?  Those are definitely colors that could be worn again.

Your florist is right – there are very few naturally blue flowers.  You can do something completely different and have magenta or dark pink or purple flowers with with a silver ribbon.  Or, you can have white/ivory flowers with little silver/sparkly pieces in the pomanders.

@LilySparks:  Check out dessy.com. They have a huge range of bridesmaid dress colors. Also, colors look different on different fabrics. If a color is already bright, chances are it’ll look even brighter on satin. I saw Malibu blue on a satin dress and hated it, but when I saw it in chiffon on a bridesmaid at a bridal salon, I thought it looked really pretty.

As for blue flowers, both PP and your florist are right. They’re rare. I’ve seen the blue dendrobium and it’s beautiful, but if you’re going for Malibu blue, then it’s probably not the best flower to go with. Good luck! 🙂

@LilySparks:  Just because you’re having malibu blue/silver/black as your colors, it doesn’t mean you have to use those colors for everything!  In fact, I prefer it when a different color is thrown in, hense, the purple or pink or whatever for the flowers.  It will break up the monontony of only using 3 colors.

As far as flowers I’d think that white would look really nice and tie in to your theme, as well as brighten everything up cus your colors sound fairly dark. As for bridesmaid dresses id have to agree with country chic, silver or grey are deffinatly rewarable and would look awsome!! Maybe a blue isle runner??
