I’m trying to figure out some bridesmaid dress brands to start looking at with my Maid/Matron of Honor, bridesmaids, and the groomswoman! My requirements are: Long length, Navy, and preferably from the same designer so the color matches. Other than that, I don’t really care what they pick. The wedding is an evening wedding and is going to be fairly formal (not black tie, but cocktail attire plus).
One bridesmaid has stated that she can only afford $150 before alterations, three are happy with 200 before alterations, and my maid of honor said she’d pay up to 400 if she loves something. So budget is all over the place. I’ve honestly thought about gifting each woman the same amount towards her dress to up the budget requirements to make it easier to find something everyone loves.
Here are their body types and preferences:
My maid of honor is very small and has a very petite upper body and can be easily overwhlemed by large straps and lack of structure in a dress. She would like to wear something formal and has expressed an interest in a more fit and flare or mermaid style dress.
My two other bridesmaids are fuller figured. They’re both pretty laid back, so pleasing them will mainly be contingent on finding something in their budget that they like.
The groomswoman wants to buy a matching bridesmaid dress. She is 6’1 and slim. She has asked that I just let her know what brand/color and she’ll order a dress.
Do any bees have suggestions of brands that might fit my needs? I want each woman to find something she can afford and loves, so I’m open to suggestions on how to make that happen!

Check major retailers online, Macy’s, David’s Bridal, Alfred Angelo…

Not everyone may agree with this route but I went with asos.com and I only had 3 bridesmaids so I picked a few dresses I thought might flatter them and since they have a great return policy returned the ones that didn’t make the cut.
I like that they have videos of the dresses on a walking model so you can get an idea of how the dress falls. Quality varies though so use your best judgement when deciding which ones to order. I was really happy with my end result 🙂

http://www.lechateau.com/ has lots of long navy options, and the prices are in Canadian dollars, so most of them are within everyone’s budgets.

luvely: I was thinking of doing the same. The colors are limited though.
I’m also think of doing multiway/infinity dresses so they can style them as they want to but still be uniform.

lilafowler: Yes, there’s an option to narrow down by colors and mine being blush pink I noticed they also listed nude dresses which kinda bothered me but I was able to find different variations of light pink in the end 🙂
dandiandi13: I considered this site too 🙂

Thank you all for the ideas! I’ll have to check all the sites out! I’ve felt a little overwhelmed with all the options and different needs for everyone.

Not sure if they’d be comfortable ordering online, but I cannot say enough good things about Tulle & Chantilly. I was a little wary with it being a Chinese website, but the dresses were absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. They’re affordable and also are made to measurements so no alterations needed! Unless two of your bridesmaids lose 30+ lbs like mine did 😂 There’s tons of different styles and shades to choose from!
