Hmm. I don’t know about your area, but I had the option to do a one day workshop. We were there for about 6 or 7 hours. Look up your diocese online and there should be information about the workshops with schedules and stuff. If you’re crunched for time, you might have to go to the next available session, and that may involve a little bit of traveling (maybe a few hours?).

I don’t think there is a way to get a short version of the class unless you are close the priest marrying you and he is willing to work with you.  The class me and Fiance are taking is Friday night 7-930 and Saturday 9-5 so it is not a whole weekend away. They also have classes for a few hours each night for a week. Your church should have a website for you to find a class near you. I think your best option is getting in touch with them.

According to the diocese of San Diego’s website, you have a few different options, not all of which take up a whole weekend.  Talk to your priest or the marriage counselor at your church if these dates don’t work for you either.  They’re usually willing to work something out.

They do a Friday night and a full day Saturday (until 3?) during the long weekend in May here.
