I think you should embrace it! Don’t try and mash up your ceremony colors with this space, they just won’t go. What about something like a constellation theme?

OR you could also spin the space and embrace the more mod feel and do a midcentury modern feel??

I’d probably stick with white on white for everything, using different white flowers.  The white and green from the flowers will match the chairs and walls, and if you throw in a tiny blush pink flower, I think that would work too.

I don’t think you have to ignore a “moon and stars” theme if that is what you want to do, just because it’s a daytime reception. Nor, do I think you have to run with it, simply because of the colors.

The colors are, however, perfect for anything space, sky, star themed. Even the chairs are perfect! The only part that would bug me is the circles above the bar. But, I think you could easily cover them with something held on with poster tack.

I think you can treat the decor as if it’s just the sky, and use any centerpiece of your choice. I don’t think you have to limit yourself to those themes.

There are lots of songs and movies about stars, moon, space, sky etc  from which you could take inspiration from the words. There are also quotes from books. Many of them are related to love and happiness, which is perfect for a newly married couple. One that comes to mind right away is “Walking on the Moon” by The Police. Or,” I love you to the Moon and Back” from the children’s book Guess How Much I Love You.

lycheecat:  I hope these ideas don’t sound too crazy: in keeping with the space-agey atmosphere of your venue, and something from your original color palette, you could have your tablecloths in sage green:

white silk tulips placed horizontally on bunches in this trivet, alternating east-west:

this photo holder, but instead of photos, a card with the table number, and silk eucalyptus branches:

strategically placed throught your venue, wastebaskets filled alternately with eucalyptus branches, and eucalyptus and tulips:

That is such a bizzarre venue, but I love it! I honestly don’t think you need to do much. There’s a lot there already and it will be filled with people presumably. I would skip the flowers and go for lush, leafy green arrangements. I would put them inside of clear vases with purple and blue stones on the bottom or LED lights that match the lighting under the bar.

I feel like it’s more of a cool retro/60s vibe than a space vibe. Maybe stick to the shapes theme and have some Art Deco type stuff?

I think that room looks awesome but I love the space theme.  What about something like this?
